We are seeking a new team manager for our CAMHS Single Point of Access Team. We are recruiting Essex CAMHS SPA Team Manager to lead on the operational , financial , people management and performance management of the Essex CAMHS SPA Service,
The team is made up of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) of innovative and dynamic clinicians who have worked hard to find supportive ways of helping children, young people with mental health difficulties.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and committed Team Manager to work alongside the Service Manager and Senior Management Team to support staff and to ensure service users are able to access CAMHS service. A strong CAMHS, mental health, and/or Children's Service clinical background is desirable but not essential for the role as this role is also suitable for a band 7 who is ready to be supported into a band 8A role. Support training and guidance will be provided to the right candidate.
The SPA manager post is open to a post-graduate qualified psychological practitioners (e.g. mental health nurse, social worker, occupational therapist, psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist) and fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body (e.g. HCPC, NMC, Social work England).
Main duties of the job
To timely triage referrals into CAMHS SPA team as per the service key performance target.
To develop partnership with referrers (GP's, Schools, Social care and Voluntary agencies) to communicate referral process to CAMHS.
To offer consultation to professionals on mental health if they have concern about child, young people mental health.
To offer Line supervision to workers in SPA team.
To provide weekly data report to the Head of Service about the triage of referrals
