The NELFT Havering Nutrition and Dietetics service have an exciting opportunity for a confident and enthusiastic band 5 Dietitian with experience in general community dietetics to join our team.
The successful candidate will be supported by senior dietitians and will have the opportunity to develop a wide skill set. They will be actively involved in the development and implementation of evidence-based guidance to support best practice.
The role is based in Havering and will be a have a mixture of face to face and agile working. The post holder will be able to consolidate or gain wider experience in a range of general services including nutrition support, long term conditions, Children over 5 years of age and health promotion across NELFT. This Band 5 Position provides an excellent foundation for your Dietetic Career.
Main duties of the job

o HCPC registrationo Recognised Dietetic degree qualification or equivalent.o Clinical knowledge & experience across a variety of disease states and dietetic therapies.o Effective organisational skills - to be able to prioritise and manage own workload within time and financial constraintsThe main responsibilities of the post: o To provide a high standard dietetic assessment for patients and to provide an individualised treatment programme. Support available from wider dietetic team as necessary.o To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.o To contribute to evidence-based audit and research projects to further your own and teams' clinical practice.o To be involved in the review and production of Nutrition and Dietetic literature and resources.o To plan and facilitate training/education sessions.
o To be part of the Nutrition & Dietetic team, providing a dietetic service to designated areas across the London Borough of Havering. To support the wider Barking, Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge Dietetics team.
Must be able to travel around Havering mainly, but may need to occasionally travel within Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham and NELFT efficiently.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex
