Job summary

There is currently an exciting opportunity within the NELFT Healthcare Informatics teams as a Digital Training Lead. The post is located at NELFT's CEME offices in Rainham.

This is a newly created post reporting directly to the Digital Transformation Manager. The post holder will manage the existing EPR (Electronic Patient Record) Trainers and will be the lead for developing and supporting digital literacy across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertake a training needs analysis in relation to Digital and EPR training
  • Develop an accessible Training Programme aligned with Healthcare Informatics and wider organisational drivers; Training must be accessible to all staff and appropriate channels /content must be developed to meet these needs
  • Lead on the review of all existing training provisions, surveying current training staff and end users to co-produce the future provision.
  • To lead, manage and develop the EPR/IT Training team to support an efficient and effective IT training service for the Trust
  • Be responsible for the Training venues utilised by Healthcare Informatics within CEME and Phoenix House
  • To provide advice to a wide range of managers across the Trust
  • Develop and implement Digital Literacy assessments that will identify staff training needs (pre-induction and whilst in post)
  • Develop and implement a Digital Literacy programme Underpinned with appropriate learning theories and reflecting the recommendations from the Topol review to enable continuous staff learning and improvement

About us

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
