Job summary

There is currently an exciting opportunity within the NELFT Healthcare Informatics teams as an EPR Configuration Officer. The post is located at NELFT's CEME offices in Rainham.

Reporting directly to the EPR Systems Manager, the post holder will be the trust's subject matter expert for Clinical Systems configuration, managing the local configuration of Clinical Systems from concept, through to implementation and on-going operational management.

Main duties of the job

Be a subject matter expert for Clinical System configuration; demonstrating skill and providing advice, guidance, and support to operational and corporate teams.

Be a subject matter expert for NHS e-Referral Service, providing advice, guidance, and support to operational and corporate teams.

Liaise with Project Managers in the creation and fulfilment of work packages.

Liaise with Transformation Leads to scope and define configuration changes.

Manage local configuration of Clinical Systems from concept, through to implementation and on-going operational management.

Interpret As-Is process maps and provide suggestions for To-Be processes.

Ensure that configuration facilitates the capture of all reporting requirements, including national data sets.

About us

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
