Job summary
An excitingopportunity has arisen to join a busy Integrated Children's service in Barking and Dagenham as the Service Manager for our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
We are looking for experienced leader for our Service Manager and Clinical Lead role within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). The role will require strategic, operational and clinical oversight of the CAMHS Service .
We are looking for a service manager who is passionate about Children and Young People (CYP), visionary and innovative. You will have a proven track record of leading within a children's statutory context, attending matters of risk children subject to plans and liaison with multi-agency partners. You will understand the challenges that CYP face, and be skilled at developing service design to manage these challenges. You will be an experienced manager, supporting staff, attending to a diverse range of needs, and contributing to the learning of the department.
You will understand systemic issues that impact on lived experiences of CYP. You will be abreast of research and national changes to practice.

Main duties of the job
We want a Service Manager who can lead through service design and development, to take the service to the next phase in development. We are keen to embed participation in every aspect of our development, through co-design and delivery with those we serve and our key stakeholders.
Your project management skills will be well developed as you will lead the service in the delivery of our ambitious transformation plans to improve outcomes for children and young people in Barking and Dagenham.
As the Service Lead you will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of CAMHS providing high quality, safe and responsive specialist mental health services to children, young people, parents/carers and professionals, provided in accordance with Children and Young People's IAPT principles and through the delivery of CAMHS pathways.
The successful applicant will have a good understanding and be well versed in the implementation and delivery of the I-Thrive model of service delivery; the Future in Mind report, Five Year Forward View and the NHS Long Term plan.
You will be accountable for the planning, implementation and delivery of CAMHS across the locality, particularly in relation to encouraging collaborative working practices between a variety of agencies and disciplines within the local health and social care and education economy.
About us
Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary PeriodThis post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).High Cost Area Supplement - LondonThis post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata).
