Job summary

The Kent and Medway All Age Eating Disorder team are looking for enthusiastic, skilled, and committed dietitians to join this forward-thinking team.

The All-Age Eating Disorder Service is based across the County of Kent at George Turle House, Canterbury, and The Courtyard, Maidstone with Specialist support offered to the Kent and Medway Adolescent Hospital in Staplehurst. Geographically, we support the county of Kent and Medway, so the ability to travel is essential. You would be supported by highly experienced specialist dietitians to advance your career and further your skills.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be covering a varied community caseload, including outpatient clinics, mental health inpatient wards, support to schools and acute wards when patients are admitted. We also offer group education, and the post holder may have the possibility of extending into community ARFID nutrition support (if funding approved). An interest in developing skills in paediatrics, eating disorders or diabetes would be an advantage.

We are a mobile working service and offer our patients the choice of face-to-face, virtual and phone appointments.

The department currently provides a Monday to Friday service.

The 3 "must haves" for you to be considered for this role:

  1. Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
  2. Registered with Health Care Professionals Council and full BDA membership
  3. Experience of working in acute/community setting as a dietitian or dietetic student.
  4. Ability to prioritise workload and work flexibly, travelling to multiple sites if required
  5. Ability to work from home with access to Wi-Fi using equipment provided.
