An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic individuals to join our Inpatient Female Acute Mental Health Ward in Goodmayes, Ilford, Essex.
Kahlo ward is a 21 bedded female acute adult ward for assessment and treatment, which provides a safe and supportive environment to aid patients in their recovery.
People referred to the service may present with risk to themselves or others and/or their challenging behaviours may make it difficult for them to live at home or to make use of other services or community facilities.
The post holders will be joining a multi-disciplinary team that is committed to the provision of high quality patient centred care for all who use the service. The ward teams have strong nurse leadership including Band 6 Clinical Leads & Deputy Ward Managers, Ward Manager as well as a Modern Matron who provides operational and clinical leadership across two wards.
Main duties of the job
This nursing establishment seeks to ensure greater support to our junior staff and also optimises future career prospects of our Band 5 nurses within the acute care pathway.

Probationary Period

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High-Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436).

-To work shifts over a 365 day a year basis including night duty
