Job summary
- Registered Nurse qualification
- Registered Nurse on NMC register
- Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting as part of the multi-disciplinary team under appropriate supervision
- Previous experience in working in an Outpatient or similar environment.
- To undertake any other duties commensurate with the band as requested
- To support other areas of the hospital when required, within the scope of the role.
- To support all Outpatient clinics as requested.
- To support Outpatient clinics at BOTH Hillingdon and MVH Outpatients as per rota.
Main duties of the job
To participate as an active member of the team operating within this busy department, liaising with staff in other areas.
1. To maintain a high standard of care in keeping with current Hospital Policies and Procedures.
2. To maintain a good public image, both caring and professional.
3. To create good staff/patient relationships.
4. To liaise with other members of the team to maintain the quality service provided by the Department.
1. To be responsible for the assessment, delivery, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in the department without direct supervision, act as a role model to nursing staff
To maintain high standards of clinical performance and take an active role in the monitoring of clinical standards.
To work efficiently and professionally in OPD clinic settings, providing safe and knowledge based care to patients.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
