Job summary

The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is now looking to appoint for our 2026-2027 Clinical Teaching Fellows. These popular posts are an exciting opportunity for resident doctors to formally develop their medical education experience for those who want to make a commitment to education as part of their career. These are one year fixed term 'out of programme' posts based at Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and are fully supervised. Suitable candidates should aim to use the year to build on their personal teaching experience, develop expertise in education theory and practice and undertake supervised educational research.

Main duties of the job

Please note you should only apply for the post if the following criteria are met:

• Fully GMC registered
• An FY2-StR in a recognised specialty training programme. By the time of taking up the post will have completed 1 year (WTE) or more of an approved training programme and able to apply for OOPE or between training programmes.
• Able to attend MS Teams interview if shortlisted
• Able to commence the post from August 2026 (1 year fixed term) - some flexibility may be afforded here depending on speciality rotation dates.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
