An opportunity has arisen for a Senior band 7 Physiotherapist in Women's and Men's health to join the Outpatient Physiotherapy Team on a fixed term basis until the end of March 2026. This is being funded by the NWL ICB board to help waits within the physiotherapy pelvic health service.

The post holder may be required to work at the Hillingdon Hospital site or the Mount Vernon Hospital site depending on which days you work and clinic room availability.

We are looking for a dynamic and highly skilled physiotherapist who demonstrates excellent communication skills and has extensive experience in the field of Women's and Men's Health.

Clinically you will be responsible for the assessment, clinical reasoning and treatment of a mixed caseload of patients, presenting with urinary incontinence, faecal incontinence and a variety of conditions seen in bladder and bowel dysfunction including pelvic pain and coccydnia. Referrals into the service come from a variety of sources including Gynaecology, Obsetrics, Urology and Colorectal consultants as well as local General Practitioners.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior band 7 Physiotherapist you will be expected to play an active part in the development of the service and promoting evidence based practice, alongside regular audit and teaching / supporting the other part-time staff treating the Women's and Men's Health caseload.

You must be HCPC registered as a Physiotherapist. The ideal candidate will also be a member of the CSP and POGP. They will be hard working, adaptable, demonstrate initiative and self motivation and have a commitment to lifelong learning and continuing professional development

To provide professional leadership for women's and men's health treatment across Hillingdon Hospitals NHS FT. in conjunction with other senior pelvic health colleagues. To provide evidence based practice and practice development across the patient pathway within physiotherapy, and working with the multidisciplinary team in women's and men's health as appropriate. To provide highly specialized assessment and treatment for women's and men's health patients with complex needs, and to provide expert advice, guidance and information to health and social care professionals, carers and relatives and other non professionals. The postholder will work with appropriate clinicians and managers to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, optimize the use of resources, and respond to changes in service need.
