An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a highly skilled, experienced, and enthusiastic specialist pharmacist to join our Cancer Pharmacy Team. This role offers a unique chance to make a meaningful impact by combining advanced clinical haematology expertise with leadership and service development.
We are looking for someone with strong clinical knowledge, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion for excellence. In this challenging but rewarding role, you will work closely with the Principal Pharmacist Transformation, Cancer Services & Clinical Trials, to deliver a comprehensive and high-quality clinical pharmacy service.
Main duties of the job
- Delivering a specialised, high quality, patient-focused clinical pharmacy service to adult haematology and paediatric oncology patients.
- Actively contributing to the multidisciplinary team by providing ward-based pharmacy services and key input during clinician ward rounds, clinics, and meetings.
- Serving as a clinical role model, offering highly complex expert advice on the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of haematology and oncology medicines, in line with Trust and National Guidelines.
- Leading and supporting changes in work practices within Cancer Services, fostering good working relationships and implementing innovative solutions to enhance safety and quality in the service.
- Building strong working relationships with the Trust Research and Development team and contributing to research governance within the Trust.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services, including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics, and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit, and outpatient clinics.
