Job summary

To work in conjunction with the Lead Haematology Nurse, Medical Haematology DayUnit manager and Haematology specialist nurses, in the effective management of thehaematology/medical patients within the day unit. Liaising closely with the haematologyspecialist nurses, you will be responsible for booking and organising the care of these patients. To teach and supervise qualified and unqualified staff. To be aware of day unit policies and procedures and ensure that these are adhered to.

Main duties of the job

Administer and supervise junior staff in administration of Systemic Anti Cancer Therapies (SACT) according to specific protocols.Support the patient throughout their journey proving and promoting individualised personalised care.
