Job summary
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to be our Data and Audit Lead. The role involves collecting and validating data for submission to the Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre. Writing reports, assisting with the extraction of data from the system, keeping a record of audits and producing monthly reports. You will also be required to attend and present at some of the unit and governance meetings. You will be required to work closely with data analysts across North West London as well as working with Business Intelligence and Divisional leads providing them with data. You will also work closely with the audit department providing them with data and ensuring that all audits are completed and action plans submitted.
You must be comfortable using computers and confident in the use of a variety of IT applications such as excel, word and power point.
We are inviting applications from individuals who have a proven background in healthcare either in an administrative, data or clinical role. Ideally you will have a working knowledge of critical care
Professional registration is desirable but not essential as this is a non clinical role.
Main duties of the job
To acquire data for Adult Critical Care data base by interrogating both paper and IT systems in order to extract relevant information on Adult Critical Care in accordance with data protection and confidentiality policies, taking all reasonable steps to follow up missing data.
Enter and clean (for validation) clinical data onto the Adult Critical Care database.
Collect, select, enter data onto the Critical Care Database ready for submission to ICNARC.
Interrogate and undertake audits using the database as required.
Ensure the collection and input of Adult Critical Care data meets the reporting deadlines required by the Case Mix Programme
Maintain quality control of data entered onto the Adult Critical Care database.
Investigate and correct coding errors promptly and efficiently, in order to maintain the data quality of data entered.
