Job summary
This role involves working within the Midwifery Education team providing high quality, customer-led services to the Trust.
The post holder will support all the administrative needs of the Midwifery Education departments, including booking courses, purchasing via e-procurement, updating attendees list on IDevelop (Learner Management System), supporting education lead with financial planning and invoicing universities for courses. The post-holder will be a point of contact for general training enquiries, requests for information and providing product knowledge of Education, Learning and Development opportunities.
Main duties of the job
The Midwifery Education Team events:
- Support Educatorsby co-ordinating venues, speakers, programmes, visual aids and handouts.
- Advise managers and staff of the availability of courses, dates, venues and event content.
- Support trainers to set up training rooms prior to training events when necessary, ensuring all equipment is in good working order and ready to use. At the end of the event, work with the trainer to ensure the room is left ready for the next event, and that all equipment are correctly/safely stored away.
- Negotiate dates and book (internal / external) trainers to deliver training interventions as required.
- Pro-actively publish information regarding future training events utilising Trust communication media (e.g. Communications bulletin).
- To assist Practice Educators with collecting information from Midwives, Nurses, MSWs, Ward Admin and Student Midwives on the ward.
- To assist in documenting information in the computer database.
- To ensure the Midwifery Education department is clutter free and safe to work.
- To monitor all calendars and teachings.
- To raise requisition for courses for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and to maintain accurate data record
