Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the well established Diabetes & Endocrine Unit as part of the admin team.

Our Post Holder will work as part of the team in this very busy Department and will assist in the smooth running of all aspects of administration.

Main duties of the job

Receiving telephone calls and email enquiries from both inside and outside of the trust from all healthcare professionals.

Receiving patient referrals and uploading to hospital system

Making and re-scheduling patient appointments

Assisting in printing and sending correspondence by post and or email

Using the in-house patient management system

The post holder will need to demonstrate the ability to be able to prioritise their workload, they should have an excellent telephone manner and able to deal with staff at all levels both within the trust and from outside they should consider themselves a team player.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
