The Transport Department provides corporate and courier services for the Hillingdon Clinical Commissioning Group and Hillingdon Hospital in the West London and surrounding areas.

The Department is responsible for the delivery and collection of samples, post, packages and clinic supplies and the collection and disposal of clinical waste plus high volumes of medical records and theatre equipment, and any other tasks that support the Hospital that Transport can provide.

We run a minibus service to and from Hillingdon Hospital to Mount Vernon Hospital from 07:00 hrsuntil 18:30 hrs. At present this is on a two shift roster.

Main duties of the job

We require friendly, flexible, responsible staff. You will act on your own initiative as well as work as part of a team, with excellent communication, customer care and driving skills. You will need to be able to pass a standard DVLA (D4) medical. Vehicles on the fleet range from small electric cars, light small vans, 3.5 tonne tail-lift Luton vans and 17 seated mini-bus. These posts will be subject to a Criminal Record Bureau check.

The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit, and outpatient clinics.
