Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Colorectal Diagnostic Pathway Nurse to join the team at Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will provide high quality and safe care for patients who are undergoing colorectal diagnostic tests under the guidance of the Colorectal CNS.

We are seeking a highly motivated, organised and clinically experienced nursing showing professional & personal development to join the busy Colorectal surgical unit across two sites, Hillingdon and Mount Vernon hospitals.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of the Colorectal Nursing and Support Team, providing high quality and safe care for patients undergoing colorectal diagnostic tests.

They will work autonomously within the parameters of their competencies to make decisions and adjustments to patient's treatments in line with their needs. Requesting imaging and appropriate blood tests as well as referring back to the Consultant or other multi-disciplinary members if further advice is needed.

To liaise closely with members of the multi professional team so that patients with suspected colorectal cancer experience a seamless, high quality service.
