Job summary

To provide an efficient administrative and clerical support service in line with service requirements.

As an important link between clinical staff, patients and GPs, the post holder will be expected to project a positive and helpful image at all times.

Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as the post holder is very much front of house and will be the first line of contact for our colleagues and visitors.

Main duties of the job

  • To attend any training courses which would benefit both the Department and your own knowledge and development.
  • To carry out all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Trust's policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, and the Departmental procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining stationary stock and advising supervisor of requirements and ordering items on PECOS.
  • Assist in the training of new team members
  • Liaise with other hospital departments i.e. Medical Records, Estates & Facilities
  • Liaise with Nursing / Care Home and Residential home
  • When required to act as first point of contact for visitors to the department.
