Our resolute enthusiastic and diverse team of GPs at the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) here at North Middlesex University Hospital are seeking like-minded experienced individuals to join our current team of 11 doctors.

Main duties of the job
The UTC is integrated within the Emergency Department, assessing, treating, referring, and discharging adults and children with minor illnesses who have presented to our emergency department. As an UTC GP you are expected to work efficiently, be confident managing acute medical and surgical presentations, along side minor illness and more chronic long term conditions.
At time supporting triage in the emergency department is expected and encouraged.
Teaching is also expected with medical students having regular attachments in the UTC.

- Is aware of their own competencies and will ask emergency department consultants for advice / guidance as needed.
- Integrates both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment in patient care/management plans.
- Communicates effectively with patients, colleagues, and others using appropriate communication styles including using telephone translation services.
- Produces accurate and complete documentation and patient records.
- Can contribute to quality improvement projects within the UTC during their weekly SPA time.
- Supervise medical students who are on clinical attachments within the emergency department.
- Completes all Mandatory and Statutory training required by the trust.
