The Legal Services department at North Middlesex Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an administrative assistant to join our team. This is an excellent chance for the right candidate to develop high quality administration skills and gain knowledge of the law pertaining to healthcare.
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and have a flexible and pro-active approach to work, with excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate with people on all levels. This post requires someone who is efficient and organised with the ability to work well and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
Legal Services sits within Quality Governance department. There is a requirement for collaborative working with the Clinical Governance team. We work together to promote and support a culture of learning and quality improvement across all aspects of patient care and experience within the Trust, so that the services we provide excellent outcomes and experience for patients and staff and have excellent value for money of trust services.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of administrative systems and experience of working with IT systems and databases. Candidates should have either previous NHS experience or a legal administration background.

Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Head of Legal Services, you will be providing vital support in the day to day running of the office.
You will be responsible for the coordination and compiling of medical records, policies and other documents for disclosure. In addition, you will support the team with administration including updating the Trust systems with all new matters. You will also assist the team in the running of their claims and inquest caseloads.
