We are one of the busiest acute hospitals and see around 500 patients a day in our ED.
We have been on a large transformation journey meaning we now have a multimillion pound new build ED, fantastic multi- disciplinary team morale, outstanding models and pathways and a dedicated development team for ED. We are a nursing team with high standards and are looking for exceptional nursing staff to join our team.
Main duties of the job
Quality and safety management of the Children's Emergency Department. To passionately lead a team of nursing staff with the aim of creating outstanding outcomes. The role is the role model for excellence in quality and safety. This is a 24 hour rotational post 365 days a year.
About us
Our A&E is fully staffed by paediatric nurses, 24 hours a day and have excellent team support from our adult A&E team. We are also fortunate to have a team of Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultants and have a strong medical support framework and excellent links with our MDT. We have a team of Senior Nurses who actively support and engage in clinical care.
Our expanding department has a dedicated paediatric high dependency area , paediatric resuscitation suite and CAMHS room and facilities. We also provide a Paediatric Urgent Care Service and have a team of Paediatric Nurse Practitioners.
We have strong links with our inpatient and outpatient services and our new paediatric assessment unit team. We have strong links with three leading London universities; Middlesex University, London South Bank University and City University and believe that in developing our staff we ensure the continued development of our department.
