Housekeeping of the ward and will require great organizational skills You will require excellent communication skills as part of the role will involve liaising with patients and staff. The post holder will be required to carry out various tasks such as monitoring and supporting patients with their menu choices, liaising with dieticians, and other multi-disciplinary team members on the ward, ensuring patients are provided with supplies as needed, daily and weekly stock checking and maintaining equipment and dealing with maintenance issues.
Main duties of the job

The post holder must have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
About us
North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust is a medium sized District General Hospital based inEdmonton in Enfield, North London. To participate in providing a complete and safe catering service to meetthe patients meal and beverage requirements. This will includetemperature testing of meals and fridges.2. To monitor the cleaning duties in accordance with the schedules andprocedures of the area and take action to rectify any faults and this maymean undertaking emergency cleaning.3. To assist patients and visitors as requested.4. To ensure that there is sufficient clean linen available to meet the needsof the unit. This will include keeping the linen room tidy, and ensuringthat dirty linen is available for collection.5. To ensure that all empty beds are clean and ready for the next patient,this may entail the postholder making beds. The area surrounding thebed must also be checked, to ensure all the necessary items areavailable in the lockers for the next patient.6. To communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure continuityof care.7. To record and action requests for maintenance and to monitor progressof jobs and report to the ward the situation.8. To undertake ward environment monthly Health and Safety audits andaction any faults.9. To assist in the movement and escort of patients as appropriate.10.To receive and check stores and store correctly taking into account theshelf life of all items.11.The postholder is responsible for taking reasonable care with regard tothemselves, colleagues, patients or visitors who might be affected byany act or failure to act by the postholder in accordance with the TrustHealth and Safety policies.12.These duties and responsibilities are neither exclusive nor exhaustiveand the postholder may be asked to carry out other duties andresponsibilities consistent with the grade of the post.
