We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated neuro-Occupational therapist to join our stroke and neurology outlier team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will lead on the stroke unit and support the Neuro outlier team.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced neuro Band 7 Occupational therapist who is looking for new challenge or would like to further specialise in this clinical area.
Main duties of the job
To lead the Occupational Therapy Team for the Acute Stroke Unit and neuro outlier caseload. The Occupational therapy is an integral part of an intradisciplinary team, providing patient centred care and management to in-patients at various stages of acute therapy assessments and/or acute rehabilitation.
To undertake Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist role in leading, planning, coordinating and delivering the inpatient Occupational therapy service for ASU and neuro outliers' caseload alongside Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist
To lead/co-lead in the planning, co-ordination, delivery and evaluation of the service, participating in the design and implementation of occupational therapy and/or multidisciplinary research, audit and policy.
