Job summary

The Electronic Document Management System (eDMS) project is a strategic component for the delivery of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) for North Middlesex Hospital. The eDMS project will result in the digitisation of current casenotes, the subsequent rendering of the indexed digital record and will result in eDMS being the primary source for patient information in all areas of the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will assist the Team leader to supervise and coordinate the delivery of the day to day activities required to ensure that an accurate, timely, effective, patient focused service is provided to the Trust.

About us

NMUH has started to implement an electronic Document Management System (eDMS) and the aim of the department is to ensure that all active paper casenotes are accurately scanned onto this system.

The eHealth Records department is responsible for ensuring that patient attendance documentation is scanned and made available to Clinicians and other Healthcare Professionals to access at the point of care in an efficient and timely manner.

Education and qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE or equivalent standard of education with emphasis on numeracy and literacy.

Desirable

  • ECDL qualification

Skills and abilities

  • Ability to deal with stressful situations in an effective and professional manner.
  • Ability to demonstrate own activities to new employees.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective team working and working relationships with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with professionals and the public at all levels.
