Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity at Band 5 level to gain experience in specialist orthopaedics and working with patient with neuro-musculoskeletal conditions.
Working with full support from well-staffed teams you will gain experience in the following areas on 6 monthly rotations:
- Spinal cord injuries including advanced cardio-respiratory care on ITU as well as neuro-rehabilitation
- Adult musculoskeletal unit which includes out-patients, rehabilitation and pain management programmes
- Elective orthopaedics - including joint reconstruction, foot and ankle and spinal surgery and pre-admission
- Orthopaedic Oncology and Rehabilitation
- Paediatric orthopaedic surgery
- Amputee Acute and Rehabilitation
ALL CANDIDATES WILL BE EXPECTED TO ATTEND THE INTERVIEW IN PERSON AND REMOTE INTERVIEW WILL NOT BE OFFERED.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be based at Stanmore and will be required to work on a weekend rota as part of the Therapy 7-day service and Twilight service when covering in-patient teams.
Candidates will need previous experience in respiratory care.
