Job summary
Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care and the implementation and evaluation of those programmes. Carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision. Teach and supervise qualified and unqualified staff as well as patients and their families or carers. Maintain high standards of care within the department. After 2 years post registration experience the post holder should be able to regularly take charge of the clinical area in the absence of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse or Ward Manager.
Main duties of the job
The Alan Bray Unit is a close-knit team and we are looking for an enthusiastic nurse that is passionate about delivering high quality care.
The unit looks after both adults and children with either high dependency ratios of 1:2 or intensive care ratios of 1:1. This role would suit someone who enjoys close contact with patients due to the nature of the care.
The ward will support you to become competent to look after patients that are more complex and has a range of adult and paediatric courses. Applications are welcome from both adult and paediatric nurses.
