Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Specialist Manager to lead and grow services at the Enfield Musculoskeletal Community health Hub, Edmonton.
This proof-of-concept project is aimed at bringing the best of primary, secondary and tertiary multidisciplinary musculoskeletal care to the high street. The service is being delivered through a clinical partnership between the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust and the Royal Free London NHS Foundation trust.
You will lead a high performing team of people to deliver high quality care through innovative and new pathways. This key role provides clinical and operational leadership at the site whilst working closely with the programme team and stakeholders from across North Central London.
The post is based predominantly in Enfield, however limited travel may also be required to other Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Royal Free London Hospital sites.
This role is fixed for up to 20 months (ending 31/3/26).

Main duties of the job
The clinical specialist manger is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic development, clinical governance, financial control, workforce management, equipment, physical resources and provision of Therapy Services at the Enfield Musculoskeletal Community Health Hub. The post holder will provide leadership for the musculoskeletal clinical partnership between the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and the Royal Free London NHS foundation Trust.
In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the professional development for Therapy staff within managed areas occur within professional and Trust guidelines. Central to this role is the two-way communication with the clinical teams and the rest of the senior management team within the therapy directorate.
You will provide support and expertise on the management of musculoskeletal conditions and provide an advisory service to patients, senior clinicians, other health care professionals, GPs and Consultants. You will also provide specialist expertise in the musculoskeletal field, working as an ACP/FCP.
About us
The Enfield Musculoskeletal Community Health Hub is a proof-of-concept initiative that is being delivered through the clinical partnership between The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Trust and the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. This also includes wider collaboration with the Enfield Integrated Care Partnership and North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust.
The aim of this initiative is to improve the health outcomes for patients with musculoskeletal conditions whilst addressing health inequalities and equity of access. The hub will bring the best of primary, secondary and tertiary care to the high street and will create new and innovative pathways to support the delivery of high-quality care. The service will be underpinned by a focus on research and quality improvement, providing clinicians with opportunities to understand their impact and by making continual improvements to the services delivered.
