Job summary
The post holder will have overall responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the Digital Information Systems of the Trust wide RIS, PACS, IEP and other integrated software systems.
The successful candidate will be expected to review and assess the provision of the current service and staffing within the Trust.
The post holder will be expected to manage and develop the PACS team to ensure that there is continuity of service at all times.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will develop a detailed technical understanding of the RIS/PACS systems architecture at RNOH and within the NCL ICS and will be RNOH's primary technical expert on PACS/RIS.
The post holder will work with the Digital Service (DS) managers to facilitate first line technical support and take part in second line technical support and problem solving with the DS Technical team.
The post holder will manage planned maintenance and upgrades.
The post holder will work with the RIS/PACs system vendors to maintain the PACS/RIS architecture
When necessary the post holder will provide out of hours IM&T support for Radiology.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring all local documentation, databases, system configuration documents and associated information streams are maintained and current.
Working closely with the Trust DS department to ensure a seamless delivery of Radiology services.
Working closely with the Radiology Board and Heads of Department to provide advice and guidance for delivering an effective IM&T strategy in Radiology to ensure a seamless and safe end to end electronic process for patients attending Radiology.
