Job summary
As a patient I had considerable help and support from the Occupational Therapy Department of Stanmore Orthopaedic Hospital over number of years. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I have had hind quarter amputation of my right leg which has led to significant problems with phantom limb pain. As a disabled person I do not want to be considered as different to others and so through exploring different ways of doing everyday things I have enabled to remain independent and to function relatively normally in spite of my condition.''
