Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, committed, and passionate individual to join the shoulder & Elbow team, which works with both adults and children as a medical secretary supporting one of our consultants and a junior clinician.
You must have excellent communication skills, able to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams, flexible approach to work, able to prioritise your workload, Work under your own initiative as well as under guidance from medical clinicians and line management.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for assisting in the provision of a full secretarial and booking service to the shoulder & elbow consultants and their teams in conjunction with other medical secretaries
The post holder will be expected to work within a multi-disciplinary unit and deal with telephone and in-person queries, audio typing of medical and general correspondence, general office administration in line with the Trust guidelines, booking new patient appointments in line with Trust guidelines and the 18-week pathway (RTT) rules, booking NEW / follow up appointments.
