Job summary
The post holder will be a key member of the Capital finance team. They will work as part of a team to ensure the effective use of the Trust's Capital.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the role include:
To maintain the fixed asset register.To ensure that the register is kept up to date on a monthly basis and that all relevant entries are made both to the fixed asset register and the general ledger.To ensure that all accounting for assets in the course of production is up to date and correct.To work alongside the individual responsible for cash flow reporting to feed in data regarding fixed asset transaction inflows and outflows.To prepare budgets and forecasts for depreciation and profit and loss on sale of fixed assets.To work with the treasury team to ensure that cash flows for capital projects are forecast as accurately as possible.To ensure that the year-end requirements for a complete and fully referenced file of fixed asset additions, disposals, depreciation and donated assets is prepared and available for auditing within 4 weeks of the yearTo ensure that the statutory accounts fixed assets note is prepared, referenced back to year end working papers and explained satisfactorily to the external auditors.To work with the Projects team to reconcile orders raised with spend made on the general ledger.
