Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team of radiologists to help deliver a world class service and support our registrar training programme.
The post holders will work with the existing departmental consultants and should be able to demonstrate excellent general emergency and onco-radiological skills. The successful candidate is also expected to have specialist training in advanced diagnostic Neuroradiology.
The post will support the delivery of world class expertise and local care, working with the Trust, divisions and directorates to achieve the strategic aims and meet the objectives of the units.
This locum fixed term post has arisen due to a sabbatical within the department and is designed to underpin the needs of the acute medical and surgical services as well as the more complex outpatient work.
Main duties of the job
The clinical duties of the post will include the reporting of all aspects of acute and outpatient neuroradiology and will work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the services in line with performance KPIs and clinical outcome metrics. The postholder will encounter a complex a complex and comprehensive caseload of patients with varying presentations and from a wide range of specialties. The job requires the post holder to be able to work under pressure and to be flexible and adaptive to the needs of the patient and the service.
There is no on-call commitment associated with this post.
The post holder will provide professional clinical advice to the referring clinicians and hospital management attending relevant departmental meetings to ensure safe and effective services.
The post holder must ensure they champion and lead by example on the values of the Trust, setting an example for colleagues.
