8B Head of Programme Delivery - National Amyloidosis Network

Job summary

We are looking for an experienced and talented manager to lead the roll out of the UK amyloidosis network as we transition from a single national centre to a national network of regional spokes, supported by the hub the Royal Free London.

This role will be hosted by the National Amyloidosis Centre at the Royal Free Hospital - a world renowned centre of excellence for the diagnosis and management of amyloidosis, a complex and life-limiting rare disease, and academic leader in terms of publications, ground breaking research and clinical trials. Primarily based in London, the post will require some travel to other Trusts who join the network from across the country.

The ideal postholder will have a background in operational management and/or programme management, with exceptional interpersonal skills, understanding of digital transformation, and the ability to bring a wide range of stakeholders together to deliver innovative solutions within strict timeframes and budget.

Accountable to both the divisional director of operations (RFL) and the director of highly specialised commissioning (NHSE), the postholder will have a high degree of autonomy and will be expected to design, implement and report on outcomes of the network delivery programme.

Main duties of the job

To work with the divisional director of operations, divisional clinical director and director of highly specialised commissioning (NHSE).

To programme manage the deployment of the UK amyloidosis network.

To lead the development and achievement of delivery milestones for the network.

To lead, communicate, facilitate and manage multi-professional pathway development teams.

To work with digital teams to develop and implement a data sharing platform for the network.

To be accountable for budget and expenditure within the commissioned financial envelope for the network.

To develop and present business cases and progress reports to the Trust and commissioners as required.
