Junior Clinical Teaching & Research FellowFixed Term Contract: 12 monthsAn exciting opportunity has arisen within the Ophthalmology Department at Royal Free London for a Junior Clinical Teaching and Research Fellow for a period of 12 months. The post holder will conduct research activities relating to medical retina and develop, coordinate and participate in a teaching program for undergraduates in Ophthalmology. The department provides teaching in Ophthalmology to undergraduate students from UCL. The post holder is required to assist in the organisation and delivery of teaching to medical students rotating through the Royal Free London during their placement in Ophthalmology and to establish systems for delivery of training in Ophthalmology across sub-specialties. The post is full-time, unbanded Monday-Friday 0900-1700 hrs, with no out-of-hours commitments. This is a 12-month fixed term post, subject to satisfactory appraisal with the Service Line Lead, Undergraduate Teaching Lead and Research Leads.This post would be suited to Ophthalmology trainees at post-Foundation year 2 level who want to spend time gaining experience in teaching and research. The post involves cross-site working, with opportunities to join the wider team for educational and training purposes.
