Job summary
As a pivotal member of the team, the Service Manager will work closely with the senior management team. The post holder will be key in contributing to the strategic direction of the unit. The Service Manager will support the PPU Associate Director of Operations, taking the lead in all aspects of the operational, administrative and project management of the relevant private patients services and teams across outpatients, inpatients and imaging including service delivery, service improvement and programme management across all sites where PPU operates; currently the Royal Free London & Hadley Wood Hospital. The post holder will contribute towards new business development initiatives' business case construction, service design, new services' pathways, end to end processes' design and implementation ensuring ongoing and progressive successful service growth and delivery to support consultant engagement and retention, optimising return on marketing investment and progressive increase in referrals conversion and sales turnover delivering on PPU targets as set by the trust's LEC across all sites where PPU operates; currently the Royal Free London & Hadley Wood Hospital.
Main duties of the job
To line manage relevant administrative teams within the private patients unit across outpatients, inpatients and imaging administration teams including recruitment, retention and performance management across all sites where PPU operates; currently the Royal Free London & Hadley Wood Hospital.
Deliver appraisal and mandatory training requirements for all staff within those teams.
- To support the PPU Head of Nursing ensuring that all of the trust's clinical governance requirements and regulations are understood, consistently applied and adhered to by all subordinate team members and that performance reports are produced to enable divisional compliance.
- To support the PPU Systems Manager ensuring that; all of the trust's information governance requirements and regulations as well as all PHIN and GDPR requirements are understood, consistently applied and adhered toby all subordinate team members and that performance reports are produced to enable divisional compliance.
- To be responsible to the PPU Associate Director of Operations for financial performance relating to delegated budgets and operational performance of the service and subordinate teams and team members.
- To work with the Private Patients Unit senior management team on delivering the financial, service quality, growth and performance targets of the unit.
