This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing our department's research capabilities while contributing to vital clinical studies across a broad range of conditions.
We are particularly interested in candidates with SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy) training who are keen to bring their expertise into a research setting. Your skills will be instrumental in expanding our oncology portfolio and advancing our facility's clinical research capacity. You will be fully supported as you transition into Clinical Research Nursing, including a personalised induction programme delivered by our in-house Clinical Practice Educator.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will primarily work on oncology clinical trials while also contributing to research across other specialties.

Main duties of the job
You will take the lead in managing patient participation in our clinical trials. Be responsible foridentifying, recruiting, and supportingpatients throughout their trial journey, while alsoperformingvital study assessments and ensuring data is captured accurately and on deadline. This role requires seamless collaboration with diverse healthcare professionals and teams, so strong communication skills and a sharp eye for detail are critical. You will thrive both autonomously, managing your own busy workload, and as a collaborative team member. Candidates should be able to demonstrate alignment with the Trust values, as well as competence across all responsibilities detailed in the job description and person specification. We are particularly interested in candidates who bring prior experience in Oncology Nursing with SACT competency, clinical research and have worked in a dedicated Clinical Research Nurse capacity.
