Band 7 Speech and Language Therapy

Fixed term until January 2027

We are excited to offer a fixed term until January 2027, 0.6 WTE (22.5 hours a week) Band 7 Speech and Language Therapy role to cover Maternity Leave in the School Age Speech and Language Team.

You will be based in one of our schools in Enfield and work collaboratively with school staff to support speech language and communication skills across one school campus.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be jointly responsible for the development and provision of an effective highly specialist speech and language therapy service for children at West Lea School. West Lea School is a school for children aged 4-19, with complex special needs that impact on their learning, communication, social and functional life skills. Children who attend West Lea may also have eating and drinking difficulties.

The post holder will have excellent team working skills and be adaptable and flexible. The post holder will provide regular joint training to education staff or other members of the speech and language team.

He/she will be expected to work collaboratively with: children/young people (CYP) to ensure that they are actively involved in setting goals and planning their care, parents/carers and with colleagues in Health, Education and Social Services in planning and delivery of services.
