Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the operational team for Renal, Nephrology and Urology within the division of Cardiovascular, Renal/Urology & Metabolic/Endocrine

The post holder will support and lead the division, ensuring the delivery of key targets within the budgeted resources available. They will contribute to strategic and annual business planning for their services, including the engagement of senior medical, nursing, AHP colleagues and other staff, as required. They will also coordinate the planning, development and implementation of service improvement, capital and other projects. They will support clinical governance processes within their areas and assist Clinical colleagues in the management of risk.

Main duties of the job

This post holder will be responsible for the operational management of all aspects of the division and across all sites in which the division runs services.

The post holder will work with senior clinical leaders and managers to drive and deliver excellent management leadership, support and capacity. They will ensure that effective management and delivery underpins the leadership of the directorate they manage and that the General Manager is supported to ensure that leadership decisions are translated into transforming delivery of services.

The Operations and Clinical Integration Manager will work in partnership with the General Manager to ensure the full engagement of all staff in the directorate in the delivery of the division's strategy. The post holder will deputise for the General Manager when required.

The post holder will participate in the silver on-call rota.
