Job summary

The Plastic Surgery Department at Mount Vernon Hospital, part of the Royal Free London NHS Trust are looking for an Outpatients Booking Clerk to join our team and provide administrative support and a high standard of care to support delivery of our service.

Main duties of the job

The Outpatients Booking Clerk will provide administrative support within Plastic Surgery Department located at Mount Vernon Hospital delivering a high standard of care within a patient focused environment. The role involves working within the administration team with close working relationships with nursing and clinical teams.

The post holder will ensure the administrative needs of the service are met and carry out a range of effective administration processes to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job description

Job responsibilities

The post holder will provide administrative support booking Outpatients appointments for the service from incoming referrals by GP (via eRs), tertiary referrals from other sites ensuring clinical information is available to the Clinicians.

The post holder will work closely with the administrative team in providing front of house reception support when required and perform a variety of general administrative tasks to ensure smooth running of the Department.

The Outpatients Booking Clerk will be directly supervised on a day to day basis, and is responsible for the management and prioritisation of their own workload.
