Job summary
  The post holder will work under the direction of the COPD manager withresponsibility for the assessment of care needs for all patients, ensuring appropriately planned care is both implemented and evaluated.He/ she is expected to work with minimal supervision and will be designated to work as part of the nursing team at Chase Farm and Edgware Hospitals.
 The Paediatric nursing team forms part of the Integrated Children's services at Chase Farm and Edgware Hospitals and is part of the Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust.
  Main duties of the job
  He/she will provide care at COPD without supervision to facilitate theprevention of admission or reduction in hospitalisation.He/ she will act as an effective clinical support for students.The post holder will work as part of the COPD Nursing Team with support from the team leader and band 6's. To contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation of evidence-based care to children and their families and carers, and work in a collaborative manner with other agencies to ensure a seamless service for the children.Circumstances may arise for the post holder to assist in providing clinical cover in all areas of the paediatric unit.
