Job summary
  The post holder will have the opportunity to develop skills in all areas of non-invasive respiratoryphysiology (full lung function, sleep study set-up and analyses, CPAP/VPAP initiation andreviews and report on these procedures). Rotation in sleep service and lung function service willbe necessary to obtain competencies within the department and for registration. The successfulcandidate will need to work predominantly in Sleep and ventilation team across Royal Free NHSTrust.

  Main duties of the job
  Testing Patients for Sleep and Lung Function,Be able to perform, calculate, quality control, and have a sound understanding of the clinicalrelevance of the results of a range of tests and take responsibility for the quality andaccuracy of all reports leaving the laboratory.To liaise with all key members of the multidisciplinary team to advise and support colleaguesin the delivery of specialised patient care across professional.To promote an innovative and progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patientcare through reviewing the evidence base.To competently set-up sleep studies, analyses and report on sleep studies. To competently initiate patients on CPAP therapy. To follow-up and review patients on CPAP and NIV therapy.To review and prioritise inpatient requests for respiratory investigations within lung function tests, sleep studies.
