The Pharmacy Department also offers a number of education and development opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity to drive the pharmacy medicines optimisation agenda in conjunction with the Group Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Lead and senior leadership team in the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Key duties will include:

o To support harmonisation of medicines use across all trust sites

o To critically appraise new medicines applications, and provide medicines optimisation advice to the MDTs and stakeholders

o Promote evidence-based, safe, and cost-effective use of medicines and driving harmonisation of medicines- related use across the RFL Groupo Support in the management and co-ordination of the RFL Trust Formulary and Drugs & Therapeutics Committee activities, including Secretariat support, review of new medicine applications, drug-related clinical guidelines, SOPs, policies and patient group directions (PGDs) and medicines-related documents

o Support to the RFL DTC and North Central London (NCL) Joint Formulary Committee (JFC) and contribute to the development, implementation and updating of the sector- wide Formulary, treatment pathways and medicines related guidelines

o Support medicines optimisation activities in the NCL sector, working with the JFC support team to ensure adoption of sector-wide decisions as applicable to the RFL

o Support the RFL Medicines Efficiency programme at Trust sites, as part of a co-ordinated scheme of work across North Central London STP

o Facilitate the implementation of Formulary decisions through ePMA systems, digital clinical systems and the NCL NetFormulary

o To act as a support Pharmacist for one or more specific clinical specialties
