Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Neurology Epilepsy team at the RFH as Epilepsy nurse specialist. We are looking for a nurse who has experience of working with people with Epilepsy or experience in neurology, ideally having worked as a clinical nurse specialist although induction, training and support will be provided according to their level of experience. This is a fixed term 12 months post to cover maternity leave.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will need to be innovative and active in improving patient pathways. They will have excellent communications skills and will be able to work collaboratively with members of the team.
As an Epilepsy Nurse Specialist, you would be working as an expert resource in Epilepsy providing support, advice, and education. You will be working closely with patients, carers, neurologists, GP's, the wider multidisciplinary team and stakeholders across secondary and primary care. The role will include nurse led clinics, phone advice and ward referrals.
