BASE
Finchley Memorial Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC), occasional requirement to attend other Royal Free London sites. Monday to Sunday, from 8am to 8pm.
Finchley Memorial CDC works in close collaboration with its sister site Wood Green CDC, hosted by Whittington Health NHS Trust. As the service develops there is a potential requirement for staff working at either site to cross cover.
Job Summary
Provide an efficient, effective, and proactive administrative support service for the Community Diagnostic Centre, based at Finchley Memorial Hospital, liaising with patients, Radiographers, Technicians and Service Leads.
Main duties of the job
Manage referrals received by the referring Trusts and ensure they are placed on an appropriate pathway.Ensure effective communication channels are in place and that key stakeholders including patients, families and carers are informed of the communication details and hours of work.Identify and seek to resolve bottlenecks or delays in the patients' pathways, escalating issues where necessary to the Admin Team Leader. Ensure that all patient administration is carried out in line with Trust policies and procedures.Coordinate/ book or rebook appropriate appointments for patients in- line with referring Trusts access policy.Liaise with referring Trusts by sending End of Day reports for each diagnostic modality.Ensure the patient understands their care pathway and is aware of appointments and any changes.Monitor the capacity across all modalities and escalate any capacity issues.Ensure all appointments are compliant with the Trust Access Policy and national targets. Where appointments are cancelled these should be rebooked within the appropriate time frame.Ensure that clinics are booked to the correct capacity as according to clinic look ahead list produced by the clinical pathway manager.
