We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking team player to join the Learning and Development (L&D) team, to provide professional expertise and support to the Education and Training speciality.
This role supports the Learning and Development (L&D) team, which sits within the wider Human Resources function. The L&D team focuses on the training provision for all staff at Royal Free London Group.
he focus of the L&D Team is to ensure access to training and career development opportunities. This role will lead on the development and delivery of high-quality learning, development and engagement initiatives, that support the delivery of the people strategy and the learning and development work programmes. Enabling staff and managers to develop the skills, knowledge and experiences required for the Trust to meet its organisational objectives.
Our remit covers Mandatory and Statutory Training (MaST) which plays a crucial role in ensuring that our staff are following the correct health and safety processes whilst delivering a high-level care to our patients.
Personal Development is also a major part of our function and constantly engages with staff and manages to ensure that staff have access to training that supporting continuing development and wider organisational development. The L&D team also manage the Education Centres, a suite of modern rooms specifically designed to facilitate the delivery of training
Main duties of the job
Takes responsibility for communication and engagement initiatives, and associated administration. Supports colleagues on all matters relating to engagement and training. As a member of the culture team, the post holder co-ordinates and leads on programmes of work supporting the wider recruitment and retention priorities.
Creates engaging content and utilises a range of communication channels to share positive stories around the range of development opportunities, across the Royal Free London Group.
Builds and establishes working relationships with colleagues across the trust and is a point of contact for queries and advice and takes a lead in supporting learning activities.
Co-ordinates activities and supports programme planning, preparation of materials and maintenance and review of projects. Promotion and monitoring of the annual colleague engagement survey and quarterly survey.
Corporate induction, professional development and leadership programs are delivered in formats that engage, motivate and inspire staff deliver outstanding patient/customer care.
Create and design a wide range of innovative and effective programmes in-line with the People Strategy and Royal Free Academy vision.
