We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and committed individual to lead the Ophthalmology outpatient services at Whittington Hospital. The outpatient services is a busy department covering multiple ophthalmology specialities .
We are looking for someone who is an enthusiastic and committed professional with the passion and drive to provide the highest quality care to their patients. Someone who will drive the development of the service with focus on quality, efficiency and productivity.

Main duties of the job
To manage the ophthalmology outpatient department at Whittington Hospital, and to have the responsibility for all resources in the department.To be a clinical expert and have overall continuing responsibility for the delivery of high quality patient care in the department, demonstrating clinical leadership.The post holder will work providing expert nursing care, nurse led p clinics and health education for patients attending the outpatient's departmentThe post holder must demonstrate a sound knowledge in the area of ophthalmology nursing and have the ability to co-ordinate relevant clinical issues trust wide and represent those views both internally & externally as required The post holder will be a member of the relevant service group/groups and represent nursing issues accordingly.Participate in the review, development and audit of research-based policies and procedures relating to ophthalmic nursingDevelop patient care directives outlining treatment for specific groups of patients using evidence based care practiceTo effectively manage the department resources, human resources and the clinical environment.responsible for staff allocation, health roster
