Job summary
This is a full-time (10 programmed activities) post based at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust Breast Surgery Department. The Breast Surgery Department consists of three very busy and dynamic units that provide care for the local population in North and North Central London. Based across three hospital sites, Barnet, Chase Farm and Royal Free Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will join a team of eight breast surgery consultants, 8 specialty doctors (including this vacancy). The department is also supported by one consultant nurse and two lead breast nurses and ten clinical nurse specialists along with six breast radiology consultants.The workload includes general and cancer breast one stop outpatient clinics, elective surgery, including joint breast reconstructive, multidisciplinary team meeting organization, medical staff supervision, supporting nurse practitioners, risk management, audit and teaching. The post holders will work in close co-operation with nursing, managerial and medical colleagues to provide high quality healthcare to the Trust's patients
