Job summary
Applicants must also hold a Nursing Associate qualification, be eligible to work in the UK and must be registered as a Nurse Associate with the NMC or about to complete the Student nursing associate training.
The registered Nursing Associate is an accountable practitioner of the multidisciplinary team who has a breath of knowledge and experiences across the lifespan and fields of nursing.
The post holder will work independently to promote health and prevent ill-health, implement evidence-based care and under the guidance and support of a registered professional will deliver advanced care responsibilities and therapy as delegated by a registered nurse.
Provide outstanding standard of safe, individualised, holistic and focused advanced care of a registered Nursing Associate, for an identified group or caseload of patients, in consultation with the patient, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job
Deliver high quality, compassionate, evidence-based care to patients following the initial assessment by the registered practitioner using person centered approaches which promote health and independence.
Recognise and consistently work within boundaries of the registered Nursing Associate role and their acquired skills and knowledge whilst developing competencies to progress their nurse education and training for example skills in leadership and medicines management
To act as a reflective practitioner, questioning clinical practice and working within the limits of professional registration and competence.
Report any incidents or accidents and raise/escalate any concerns as per organisational policy.
Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with the Safety of Medicines Act Act,Standards of Proficiency, HEE Advisory Guidance and North Middlesex University hospital Medicines Management policies.
Demonstrate a commitment to research based practice and clinical excellence and play an active part in the introduction of research-based change to improve patient centered care.
Participate in data collection to support audit activity and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
