Job summary
To provide a high standard of specialist physiotherapy service to a widerange of Physiotherapy in-patients. This post consists of 9 monthlyrotations in the following clinical areas:? Health Services for Elderly People. (HSEP)? Rapid Response ( A+E and acute medicine )? Oncology? Respiratory? General surgery and Liver Transplantation? Renal? Vascular Surgery and Amputees
Main duties of the job
? To assess and treat own caseload of patients as an autonomous andindependent practitioner for patients who may have acute, chroniccomplex presentation, and maintain appropriate treatment plans, and/or records and statistics.? To participate in the weekend and on call rota? Supervise and teach junior therapists, students and assistants? To be involved in the teaching of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), staffand patient education groups.? Undertake and present evidence-based projects and research includingdepartmental audit and suggesting practice changes, under thesupervision of line supervisor.
