Job summary
The post holder is expected to have proven clinical skills relating to Plastic Surgery nursing including wound assessment, wound care and assisting medical staff with minor procedures.
The post holder is expected to have experience in managerial responsibilities as per the job description.
Main duties of the job
The assessment of care needs for all patients, ensuring appropriatelyplanned care is both implemented and evaluated.? He/she is expected to work with minimal supervision and will bedesignated to take charge of the department on a regular basis.? He/she will act as an effective clinical leader and will ensure the clinicaland professional development of all staff for whom they are responsible.? Ensuring a safe and clean environment.? Supervising and teaching newly qualified and unqualified staff.? The postholder is required to work within all areas of the department, as rostered, including Nurse Led Dressing Clinics, Nurse Led Hand Therapy Clinics, Trauma Clinic & Consultant Led Outpatient clinics.
